In October 2011 I sat down and the Holy Spirit lead me to 1 Timothy 6:11, “But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. I titled the sermon “Flee & Pursue”. I had no idea what God had begun that day and what would transpire over the next seven weeks! At the end of this first sermon I offered a prayer over the congregation and the Lord begin to speak to me and tell me to challenge the people to pray a specific prayer for the next seven days. I told the congregation to pray every morning for the next seven days this prayer, “Today God I pursue you more than any other thing in my life. I pursue you to catch you and hold onto you with all my might!” Little did I know what had just happened!

          The next weekend came and God lead me to another passage of Scripture found in 2 Thessalonians 1:6-12 and I titled it, “What Goes Around Comes Around!” Again at the end of the sermon God spoke to me and had me challenge the congregation to add this prayer, “Today God I will face trouble in this world. I ask that my trouble today would produce fruit in my life that is pleasing to you.” God’s instruction was to add this to the first part given the week before and continue it for the next seven days.

This continued for seven weeks. Every week God would take me to a passage and then give me the next element. When I got to number four God revealed to me that there would be seven. In the first four sermons you will hear that I didn’t make much reference to the elements because God hadn’t revealed to me yet exactly what He was doing. If you listen to number five, six, and seven you will hear that God had now revealed to me what He was doing.

I hope as you listen to these sermons you can adopt into your life these seven elements of prayer that have truly changed my life! May God richly bless you in all you strive to do for Him!

1. Pursue God

Today God, I pursue you more than any other thing in my life.

2. Trouble Into Fruit

Today God, I will face trouble in this world. I ask that my trouble
today would produce fruit in my life that is pleasing to you.

3. Speak Into Existence

Today Oh Lord, I speak those things that are not yet in my life
as though they were. I believe You for the unseen things you want
to bring to reality in my life

4. Fruit That Lasts

Today I pray for fruit that will last in my life. Not Just temporary fruit
that withers, but fruit that will last forever.

5. God Come In

I no longer want you standing on the outside of my life but I want you
God to come in and have a relationship with me like never before.

6. Shake My Foundation

God Allow me to let the things that hold me back fall away today as you
shake my foundation. The parts of me that are shallow and weak ,
shake away and allow only the strong elements to remain.

7. Visit Me With A Season

God I know you are trying to teach and guide me in your will.
Visit me today with a season where I learn something from you that I never forget. Amen
